π Hannover Congress Centrum
This year’s Maker Faire Hannover welcomed over 200 exhibitors and 19,200 visitors to the Hannover Congress Centrum – and we were right in the middle of it all!
For robotics fans, the Eilenriedehalle was definitely a very good place to go. After marveling at the fascinatingly faithfully built droids from the Star Wars universe by the R2 Builders Club, you were just a few steps away from our stand!

Here, guests were able to compete with a controllable robot on a small playing field against an autonomous robot. The robot acted as a goalkeeper, but also showed how accurately it could shoot at goal and dribble the ball.
Another highlight was a large screen on which the game “luhbots The Game” could be tried out. This is a multiplayer game that is reminiscent of classic FIFA – with the difference that it’s not humans competing against each other, but our robots.

For all those who were more interested in the technology, it was also possible to take a look at the inner workings of the robots and take a close-up look at some components that we had developed and manufactured ourselves. The omniwheels and our dribbler-kicker-construction were particularly popular. At the same time, another monitor showed a video with match scenes from the RoboCup 2024 in Eindhoven, which showed how our robots compete completely autonomously against other teams.
The overall concept was very well received: we had many interested guests at the stand, had numerous exciting conversations and were able to inspire both young and old. The children in particular had a lot of fun trying out the robots, while we were able to give the adults more insights into the technology and background. Here and there, even the little ones were very interested in technology and asked lots of mechatronic questions.
