π luhbots Lab
Although the main season for recruiting new members is always the start of the winter semester, there are also a few new first-year students who visit us in the summer semester as part of first-semester events. A classic event every year is the mechanical engineering rally, where we welcome new mechanical engineering students to give them an insight into our work. This time, there were once again two exciting questions:
1. What are the colorful dots on top of the robots for?
2. Which programming languages do we work with at luhbots?
If you have already seen us at an event or looked around our website, you may already know the answers. For everyone else, we are happy to reveal the secret: the colored markings are there to recognize and locate our robots on the playing field. As far as the software is concerned, we rely on C++, Python, Lua and Rust.
Of course, we hope that our guests not only took away these two facts, but were also able to gather many other impressions from our world of robotics!
